Hey there, this is my very first mod. The JinZhong MAY is chinese rebrand of 1st gen pessima, it was made from 1998 to 2009, they were just a first gen pessima with retro-fitted 2nd gen front end, im still thinking of the lore and more things to add/change. im currently looking for someone to help me fix headlights, otherwise the car is ready for the beta release.
Like the idea. I know its in early stages of devolpment but I think the car needs to come more together in the body. It does look weird with the fenders and hood etc. Also the bumpers should match the trim.
The roundness of the front end mixed with the squareness of the rest of the car looks so wrong... yet so right. Is the trim removable or able to be body coloured with the pessima? It looks a little off with the trim stopping at the front end. Other than that, looking great!

Not a bad idea but still some problems: The name is kinda weird. As a Chinese I have no idea about what JinZhong mean. maybe 晋中(A city located in the middle of Shanxi Province,China)? or 金钟(the full word might be 金钟罩,aka Impenetrable Defence,a manoeuver from Chinese kung fu)? They are weird tbh. The look is weird because the design language of 1st and 2nd gen Pessima is not similar.The 2nd gen has a round exterior while the 1st gen has a angular look.Made the whole car looks weird. Simply put the 2nd gen Pessima front on a 1st gen Pessima is not that kind of way foreign car manufactors would do.Usually they will do some facelift special for China rather than sewing the newest model's front on the previous model,or redesign the whole exterior based on the previous model's platform. Take this for example: VW Jetta Mk2.When first introduced to China,it remained its original look. In 1997,FAW-Volkswagen did some facelift for Mk2 Jetta.Looks like a B4 Passat,but the design language is still angular.So it doesn't have a weird look. In 2004 they did it again... And again in 2010... Finally they stopped the production of Mk2 Jetta in 2012. Besides,simply combine the 1st gen and 2nd gen Pessima together might cause product line conflicts. For example, VW also produces newer Jettas in China.And also for China. Mk4(2001-2008 by SAIC VW) Mk5(2006-2011 by FAW VW) Mk6(2012-2016 by FAW VW) Mk7(2017-2021 by FAW VW) Mk8(2021--- by FAW VW) All these newer Jettas remained their original look to make it easier to separate from the Mk2. Here's the problem:JinZhong May has the same front look as the 2nd gen Pessima, which conflicted with the newer Pessima(I am sure that the Ibishu would introduce it to China) Anyway,The problems are: 1.Its name(I may give some name later) 2.Its shape(Facelift/Redesign needed)
idk what it means either, i just put random word in translator and got it, i wrote IMANAKA in translator and translated it to simplified Chinese --- Post updated --- btw if anyone from the chinese community wants to help with renaming, im all for it, write your ideas here (including the name in chinese characters) and ill take a look at it what feels the best
