Hello, I decided it was time the Roamer got a JP re-skin I have a problem however... I cant get the JP logo to appear on the side as decal. I have tried replacing "decals_sheriff.dds" with my own version like I did for "roamer_c.dds" but it does not work for some reason. So I deleted "pickup.zip" from "BeamNG.drive\content\vehicles" and have instead created a new "pickup" folder in "BeamNG.drive\vehicles\pickup". I did this to stop any possible conflicts but it still does not work unfortunately. For whatever reason altering this file makes no changes. My knowledge of this game engine is lacking and I don't understand a lot of its file structure and file formats. I only have experience from source engine Flipped text on the side of the vehicle is temporary until i can get decal working. This last image is the re-skin for the logo text which should line up with the layout of the sheriff decal.
^ :| Sure this goes in mods and skins, it'll be moved by a moderator when seen. No need to instantly derail the thread. @OP, have you tried reloading the game after changing the DDS files? The game doesn't reload them on the fly.
The Creator cannot simply remove their thread, only posts can be removed... not entire threads... Those have to be removed/moved by mods as dummiesman said. - - - Updated - - - On-Topic: Nice skin, but looks to be mirrored which does wonders for text "txet rof serdnow"
What would be the purpose of that... Yeah lets just have 2 threads, one that will inevitably die off and rot in the background until a mod finds it and one that will be popular over just one alone.
Hello, Looks like you need some help there, firstly, I don't bother messing around with decals, they're a pain and have a tendency to clip or flicker, So I can't help you with that. Your dds seems to have some issues with paint missing from certain parts and not lining up in other areas, also, I noticed that the rest of the body underneath and behind the panels is all chrome. I will make a tutorial on creating skins in the next few days, I might start it later today if I get the time. I have actually done this skin for the Roamer along with files for the glass, wheels, tires and changed the d_dds, currently looking at changing the Normal map for the grill. I thought this would be a good idea. couldn't you use the software to apply decals and apply the decal to the other side of the car skin without using s flip/mirror
