You can measure it in Blender. Small Blender square is 10cm=0.1m and large is 100cm=1m.

    That sounds painful...

It does not matter anything if you use meters or Blender units, they are absolutely same. Just import car model, make cube to be precisely size of the vehicle, see dimensions of box from n-panel and there you have dimensions. No, I did not make box to be perfectly sized because I'm lazy and didn't want to spend much time for this:

Update: Nobody uses inches for modeling, nobody.

lol i use cm or mm for most of the stuff i model.
    i use cm for cars
the only time i'll use meters is if it's an object that's like 10+ meters long. i prefer smaller units otherwise.

i can't even make sense of my country's system of measurement. i just cant follow it. i always had trouble in school as a small child with the whole idea of how many cups were in a gallon and all that.

Meter is standard unit, when you convert files to format and another, use different programs to edit files, it is good idea to keep using unit that is consistent between programs.

In BeamNG 1 unit is 1m afaik, so if you use mm, then some conversion need to be doing and there is chance something ends up throwing a spanner to gears. Ok, I might be old fashioned :D

I'm using Blender units because that is always 1.0 or 0.5, if I would use meters, then it would be cm in some spots, meters in some other spot, so annoying when you try to do quick math in your head, -0.05 is easy to do, that is 5cm want 0.5mm, then just add few zeroes 0.0005.

I think that some time it was possible in 3ds max to type -0.05 to coordinate box and it did math automatically, not sure if that is possible in Blender with some extension, but would be handy.

At the end though, it is best everyone uses system that they find most fluid to use, nothing is more annoying that stopping workflow to dig out calculator and do unit conversions :D

i have the google calculator open in another window and simply click alt+tab to switch between. much efficient! i also use a touchscreen laptop, so it makes calculatorating quicker

also, i had no idea blender units were 1m. that's very useful information.

Everyone mocks Win8.1, but I find it working nicely, like Windows 95, you hit ctrl-esc then up arrow three times, enter, mousewheel or use down arrow trough last used list in run command and press enter when you have calc selected, that opens windows calculator, which is small in size, which means efficient and good :p

(Classic shell is the magic word)

When I need to do conversions I launch this one, it is probably older than many people on this website, but you gotta love that compact and efficient design:

I used that when it was new, with Windows 95, there is still nothing that I could classify better :p
