Great map, had to jump into a jdm classic! Happy to say that ive got less than 16gb RAM and i atleast get 30-40fps with rain and night lights enabled. Running this dated setup: Processor Intel i5-2500K @ 3.30GHz RAM 8,00 GB GTX 1050Ti OC SSD disk Im also using my tonemapping mod (ACES fitted) which ive understood might be the same tonemap as the tonemap for the BeamNG future judging by tonemap.h.hlsl...? Would really like to know what bge_coconut is cause it looks very promising for a Beamng gfx nerd...
Oh I didn't even look that hard, my bad. Just automatically posted the link for the only working public garbage truck that I was aware of lol.
What game version and what PC specs? only things I can think of is either you have some pirated pre-pbr version or you don't have a beefy enough pc to be able to properly load all the resources. PBR cache is included so it wouldn't be an issue with that generating
Thanks for the reply. I have official game on Steam, the GPU is a non-TI RTX 3080 paired with 11th gen i9 and 32 GB ram running at 3600 Mhz with CL17 timings, the game is installed on SSD. I don't know which pc component corresponds to map loading time so I listed everything.
Given that that's all 10x better than my own specs and I don't have any issues with it (as in, I have generally long loading times but nothing especially longer in proportion to the rest) so I have no clue what it could be, sorry
I wish there was a proper hydraulics mod for the Olds! Nope Its just the off-road rear suspension jacked up to the max. and for the 3 wheeling, I just used nodes
What the fuck this map is awesome, thanks for making it possible ! Do you have any plans of porting Sotenbori to beamng ? ^^
The dream is to port all of the maps, sotenbori would probably be one of the last I'd do if i ever get that far though since i'd say it's pretty similar to kamurocho compared to some of the others. I have the files for all of the games (that were on gamepass anyway), I want to do onomichi from yakuza 6 next but I haven't got round into looking to see if that engine is even possible yet
What a lovely map, it's very smooth for me, i wanted to ask if i can make the building render distance more far since right now most of them load only when you get close to them, i want to be able to look at them in their non generic shape from a distance. how can i do that? thank you
Go through every individual building on all ~200 models (without destroying them on import and export) and manually adjust the vague useless lod distance values for each lod level for every one of them only for it to explode your ram and gpu when you try to load it Or, just lower your fov in camera mode, although you can't really use that outside of taking screenshots
you should be able to lock your model, i know there is a way to do it so it cant be imported anymore. not sure if you can with maps ''Before someone inevitably lazily slaps it into ac to stick it on a patreon or something at least ask me for permission first, I didn't spend a stupid amount of hours sorting out hundreds of models for nothing''
You gotta understand with some of the odd stuff you see, is that this map is taken from a game where camara angles and view points are very different, so certain things won't look right due to how the original game was developed to help with FPS, load times and memory.
