Currently, in Career-Mode, Vehicles have to be repaired to be driven again after saving and loading. This is objectively stupid when all you have is some "minor" damage. This mod fixes this. Download the Mod ZIP-File (always the latest version) Video: Source-Code
How often does this save the vehicle state? In my testing, it seems to save the state every other time I save the game, and I think it should save when you click the save button. And yes, I do have the latest version of the mod
The vehicle should be saved each time the game saves (this is the target behaviour). What behaviour do you experience? Is the vehicle restored in a damaged state but a prior version of it or is the vehicle restored in an undamaged state? Do you get any errors in console regarding libbeamng.save when loading or saving?
The vehicle gets restored in a prior state, which in turn can cause me to restore it to an undamaged state, if I crashed it for the first time I don't get any errors regarding saves, but I sometimes get errors relating to the car not spawning correctly at all, but that's probably not caused by this mod
This might be due to the autosave rotation, meaning when a new autosave is created, the prior saved vehicles may not be transferred over to the new autosave. Anthother contributor may be that vehicles are not saved, when they get replaced by another vehicle. I am currently investigating solutions to both issues. I'll keep you posted!
I finally got around fixing most of the issues with saving! You can get the latest version from the ZIP-Link above. If there are any issues left, let me know. Also note that vehicles which were damaged before will now be loaded as undamaged for the first time since I had to do some changes under the hood.
