Hey guys! i'm looking into a new keyboard. im looking into your recommendations im looking for an led backlight key board that has a variety of colors i can pick and set on to light of like red blue purple etc. and a rainbow effect when im in the mood. i also looking for an anti ghost key because it gets really annoying when one of my key clonks out because i pressed 3 or more at once.

My budget is anything under $60

    your help is very appreciated.

Well of course there's the Logitech G710 for around 100-140$ or so, but that's all I'll say. *goes back into his cave*

Nevermind, that one only has white backlighting. If you want to go full b*lls-up, get one bigger and pay way too much for a keyboard.

Look for a Model M. It doesn't have fancy LEDs or a sleek design, but it's one of the best keyboards you can get. Buckling springs, so it's got amazing tactile feedback and a very satisfying click (warning: it's loud). You can find one in near mint condition for $60-80, half as much as most 'gaming' boards, and it will easily last another 30 years. If you want one that was built in this century, check out the Unicomp Classic.

If you really want a modern keyboard with RGB backlight, you're looking at $140+. Some good options:
CoolerMaster Masterkeys L ($170) - Available with MX Brown, Red and Blue switches.
MasterKeys S ($140) - Same as the MasterKeys L but in TKL layout.
Ducky Shine 5 ($165) - MX Brown, Red, Black, Blue. Great build quality, doubleshot keycaps so they won't wear out.
Ducky One TKL RGB ($140) - TKL layout, MX Brown/Blue/Red/Black switches. Also has doubleshot caps.

Also check out the buying guide in /r/mechanicalkeyboards

Your requirement of RGB and 60 dollar budget are pretty incompatible.

They're expensive because they're mechanical keyboards. The baseline cheapest mechanical keyboard you can get starts around the 70-80 USD range and just goes up from there, however after having bought in (Logitech G710+ with Cherry MX Brown switches), I can safely say that it's more than worth the investment to move up to a mechanical board.

Honestly, I would save your money until you have the budget for a mechanical keyboard as listed above. It's worth the wait for the improvement in overall quality.
