Keyboard controls and sound stops

    Periodically while playing, the sound will cut out and/or the keyboard controls stop working until I click somewhere on the screen with the mouse. The keyboard issue happens far more often than the sound issue but, both are extremely annoying.
    Any idea why this happens?

    If it helps, I'm running an intel 9th gen i7 hexacore with integrated sound card and 32 GB ram, NVidia Geforce RTX 2080 Super and a Razer Wolverine Xbox One Pro style controller.

    P.S. I only have these issues with Beamng Drive. None of the other games I have experience these issues.

    Is the game in Fullscreen mode or Borderless?
