The 1993 Ibishu Miramar is the continuation of Ibishus long running line of Miramar midsize Sedans and coupes. The 1990 model featured many advanced technologies, like computerized all wheel drive, all wheel steering, twin turbo systems and many other technical goodies that made this a truly special car in later tuning and pop culture. Designed after many of Ibishus greats of the past, like the Miramar 710, the Miramar Z-Coupe and the 70s Ibishu Signia, it is the essence of what a sporty ibishu car can be. From a 1.8l inline 4, to 2.8l twin tubo monsters, this is one of the most varied cars of the time. While the base and mid trim models were great cars on their own, thes sadly got overshadowed by the infamous GTz models, that went on to redefine Touring car championships all around the globe. And with many movies, shows and games, prominently featuring the car, it achieved legend status mostly in countries where it wasn't ever sold. One used to be able to get one of these for pretty cheap. These days however, many importers charge new car prices for even Automatic Gxi models, which sadly puts this once obtainable dream car outside of many peoples budgets. The mod, that the community has been waiting for for the last 5 years, is finally picking up some Steam! After a long time of inactivity, the development team decided to finally give this mod the chance it deserves. this mod is a rework of 99's 1990 Ibishu miramar (https://www.beamng.com/threads/1990-ibishu-miramar.39489/) After the mod was canned for a multitude of reasons, it was handed over to a group of modders (@D-Troxx, @NismoR35 , @Kueso , @LJ74 , @TrackpadUser ) to be refreshed and released. The mod was sadly lacking an interior, wich was planned at the time but never fully realised in game, though D-Troxx did create a model for one. The exterior model quality wasnt perfect, as it was an edited 200bx at heart and there were plans to subsequently remodel it. The new design idea took inspiration from the Mazda Cosmo, as well as the R32. This design was never translated into a 3d model. I was added about a year later and also didnt really do much with the whole project until about 5 months ago. It all started with a sketch... ...and later a 3d wireframe... ...and then a model! The design of the car was a very difficult thing to create, because we werent really sure what it should be. Should it be Kuesos drawing from above? should it be an R32/3/4 Clone? Should it be a simple remodel with no design changes at all? I proposed my design sketch and got to work modeling not too long after. The main aspects of the design were, that it was supposed to be a fusion between a Skyline R32 coupe, R33 coupe and R33 sedan. The front bumper on the base model is from an ER34 facelift. The car also took inspiration from lore friendly cars, both vanilla and modded. The Sport front grille is very much like the one on the 2nd gen Ibishu Pessima Zenith (Both Grille and car made by @Theo Wilkinson, thank you), the rear window kink is fro, the 1970s Ibishu Signia by LJ and so are the quarterpanels on the GtZ models. The beautiful engines are the work of @Lordlichi2006, a set of completely modular inline 4- and 6 engines with more customisation than any vanilla car and most other mods can offer. Again thanks to him and to @gucci bucket cat for redoing some wheel textures and creating more wheels, tuning paets as well as making awesome sketches ! like this one: Here is some pictures for now! NOTE THAT THESE ARE ALL EITHER A LITTLE OLDER OR STILL VERY MUCH WIP!!! THESE DO NOT REPRESENT THE FINAL MOD Contributors are: @Kueso @LJ74 @gucci bucket cat @D-Troxx @Lordlichi2006 @NismoR35 @TrackpadUser and of course me! If you have any questions feel free to ask No release date yet. No LHD planned. No sedan planned.
