Hello there! You might recognize me from my automation progress thread, or maybe even a few other things I have posted on this forum. I recently decided to abandon the few projects I was working on in automation because I didn't feel that I was getting much enjoyment out of the time and effort I had put into what I was working on, and it was starting to become something that I just wasn't motivated to do anymore. It is because of this that I have started working on making real mods. Given that this is my first attempt at making a actual mod, I want to make something that is pretty simple, something to just get my foot into the door of modding. I'll try to get an hour or so worth of work done to whatever I'm working on 2-3 days out of the week so progress should be quite frequent if this all goes to plan. I am looking for suggestions as to what to make at the moment. The desk is probably going to be too complex for me to currently make along with the chair so I'm looking for something real simple. I know something like a crate would be real simple to model, texture, and jbeam but I want something that isn't already in the game. Feel free to suggest things you think I should start out with. Things I want to make or am making. Green= in progress, Orange=On hold, Black=No progress (Feel free to suggest anything) Wood Plank Office Desk Dining Table Shelves Washer and Dryer Office Chair Cassette Player (Boombox) Stereo System Speakers Liquid Storage Container Tool Chest Stove and oven combination Box Fan Plans [OFFICE DESK AND CHAIR] I plan to make all drawers functional, perhaps I might even add a few things to put into them (Not going to do paper as I'm sure it'd be difficult and pretty FPS taxing to make individual pieces of paper) But things like staplers, a few pens and pencils ect are what I'm thinking about. I plan to make the chair swivel, roll, and potentially raise and lower if I can figure out how to do that. I also want to add a JATO rocket to the chair as I feel that would be pretty hilarious to see. For a name of the company that makes the desk, I was thinking of something like Officepro or Midwestwest office supply. For the chair, idk if I want to have the same company make both or not. Awesome!! New props are always cool! one thing; the desk seems a little too tall compared to the photos, but that might be the angle or it’s just me
I think you are right actually, but I don't think it will affect the look of it too much so I'll leave it for now. it could also be because I haven't made the middle drawer part yet too
Current progress on the desk. got the drawers done and am attempting to make handles for them which is proving to be slightly difficult. I Need suggestions for something really easy to make as I've realized that the desk and chair are a bit too advanced for me at the moment.
I'm assuming you mean a washer and dryer right? I've been thinking about it and have always wanted one in game to mess around with. Making a non functional version should be rather easy, though I at least do want to make the door open on them --- Post updated --- A dining table for the chairs is a great idea, idk why I've never thought of that sooner. I was considering making a Heavy duty industrial shelf instead of the office desk so I'd definitely consider that too
How about some wood planks? I'd love to jab some cars with them, and some different sizes would be lovely to put in to truck beds.

I like the idea though my modeling skills right now are not too spectacular so I'll add this to the list and I'll potentially make it later down the road once I can get a hang of modding
Glad to have had your and others help with suggestions! I have started work on the plank but I don't have pics yet. It's just a standard 2x4 and I plan to make it in length of 8ft, 10ft, and 12ft. It needs to be textured now but I'm going to need a bit of time to figure out how to properly do that.
Well I didn't want to have to make this announcement ever but it was bound to happen at some point and it's likely this won't be the last time I will make an announcement like this. My mental health is pretty bad right now to put it lightly. This is the reason why this isn't getting done as my motivation to do things just doesn't exist right now so I'm going to take another week off from doing this and hopefully I'll be felling motivated to do this again!
