Lag Spikes

I am using a laptop to play this. It is an Dell N5050 model and it has an i3-2370 @2.40ghz (4 cpus) processor with intel HD 3000 graphics and 6 gigs RAM. With that said I can play some pretty graphically demanding games and I can play Beamng on medium/low graphics with postfx off. I guess thats because of the intense physic engine. I get a solid 30-40 fps which is enjoyable enough for me. However, I get intermittent lag spikes which can be annoying. Ive tried putting everything on the lowest possible setting. My frame rates increase minutely but the lag spikes stay the same. Even if I increase the graphics, the lag spikes stay the same (No surprise there). I'm very aware that this game is not ideal for integrated graphics, but lets be honest here. How could anyone expect an automotive engineer like me to pass up a game like this? I still enjoy this and play for hours even with the spikes. I also have a solid gaming desktop that I plan on installing this on, but that's unfortunately in a different state than me 600 miles away :/

But anyway... My question is; is there anyway I can go about suppressing these lag spikes?

 

You haz 4 cpus :O Well your cpu is one of the problems as well as the intel HD 3000 graphics. And no I dont think there will be anything that will help you with getting rid of the lag other then a new PC.
