Level of detail pop-in has gotten worse after the pre-race update

    Pop-in is so bad it's becoming an eye sore. Grass pops in, trees pop in, objects pop in, everything. Go play in any map like Small Island and you'll notice. I didn't remember it being so bad before the update. I'm also playing on the highest settings so I don't think graphics settings are the problem.

    The LOD system is controlled by how many pixels an object takes up. What resolution are you playing at.

    You need a video to show how the objects LOD pop-in as you get closer.

    1440x900 on a GTX 750 Ti (2 GB of VRAM)

    I can see the LOD draw in happening when I really look and occasional vegetation pop-in. Nothing alarming though.

    That is very mild pop-in if you want to die laughing open the editor and spawn some blocker trees. (MEANT TO POP-IN)

    Well, I just noticed only with cars, they are disappearing early from your field of view then before :(

    that is something we have added. Is the view distance too small? The car should be some pixels only anyways? :|

    The other thing seems to be the imposter switching to the 3d mesh, which is configurable by the content creator

    I noticed in gridmap, target vehicles materialize so late it's almost impossible to gauge my path to it and end up missing it entirely ( at high speed). It's especially
    annoying with high closing rate crashes. I distinctly remember before the update being able to easily see my targets glinting off in the distance.

    Screen above taken the second the stationary moonhawk faded into the scene. Pickup at 100mph. Way too late. Darker level boundary wall doesn't help when using dark colored vehicles either.

    I will have to check this out, but there should be a setting such as draw distance right? I think GTA 4 had it.

    Dear tdev, is this a final version of car rendering? Cos, in far distance, big objects like Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk or GTA Titan very pixelising.

    Before Race Update, it was much more smooth or it's made for optimization?

    PS: Big thanks for 500m! But suddenly not enough when your are flying ;)
