Logitech g27 no reverse

So i just got my Logitech g27 and am loving the game even more now. I have one issue, i cant find reverse on the stick shift. I looked in the inputmap and it shows button 14 is reverse. I cant find a button 14 on Logitechs control guide...

 

I had this same problem because I didn't know how to use my g27.

Push the gear stick down (towards the floor), THEN move it to the 6th gear position.

Its kind of like a shift lock on most manuals to keep you from hitting reverse. Thats cool.

 

although I have not been in one yet so can't confirm it for myself, the current generation ford focus, fiesta and mondeo apparently you push the stick down and into first for reverse gear so it is almost identical in that regard, down into 1st vs down into 5th or 6th makes little difference.

 

Don't want to scare you but thats one of the first things that usually go on a g25/27. The reverse lol.

 

I feel really stupid now. I've had my Logitech G27 wheel for a year now and just always used the paddle shifter to go to reverse. Now that I know that, I can do that in-game instead. Many thanks!
