Hello, I'm thinking about upgrading to an EVGA GTX 750. Just looking for opinions, (and it will not be used for BeamNG specifically), is it a good card for gaming? Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PZJ36ZC/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=#Ask Or does anyone recommend a better one at a similar price? Thanks!
Re: Looking at a GTX 750.. Probably should've mentioned that lol Geforce gt 610 2GB..it is rather sh^t
Re: Looking at a GTX 750.. A GT610, which was a downgrade from his existing integrated graphics. Its a low to mid range card *at best*. A 750Ti or 760 would be a much better option for a gaming card.
Re: Looking at a GTX 750.. I'd spend a bit more and get a R9 270, it's the cheapest proper gaming card you can get. The 750 Ti isn't too bad, but the 270 is better for basically the same price.
Re: Looking at a GTX 750.. I got that over a year ago, either you have an awesome memory to remember my short-lived hype from a nobody in the boondocks or you're a stalker (jk on the last bit, don't bite me for it ) My budget is $115-I'll go $180 max. That sapphire card looks pretty good. I'll look into the TI versions of the 750. Thanks for the inputs thusfar!
Re: Looking at a GTX 750.. I'm staring through your window right now. Reality: I remember alot of useless facts.
Re: Looking at a GTX 750.. Is a "stream Processor" the same thing as a CUDA core? - - - Updated - - - *looks behind to check if a british dude is staring at my tits* LOL
Re: Looking at a GTX 750.. with a $180 budget you might as well just get an r9-270 if you must get an nvidia product for some reason, just get the GTX 750 TI FTW edition, as that's about $166 (after tax)
Re: Looking at a GTX 750.. Looking it up, the R9 is a wicked card for the buck. However...I don't want to upgrade my power supply..again. It says 500Watts is required but would you think 480watts would do?
Re: Looking at a GTX 750.. the PSU wattage shown on the page is ALWAYS way over exaggerated, as nvidia and amd and all that have to account for people with horrible psu's that'll never give even close to their shown wattage so depending on the certification of your PSU (for example, if it's 80+ bronze) 480W should be plenty (also depending on your other specs)
Re: Looking at a GTX 750.. What are your other specs? You should be fine with 500W if you have an intel CPU.
Re: Looking at a GTX 750.. Yeah both the GTX 750 Ti FTW and the R9 sound awesome, and yeah, based on my specs, I'd have the power. I run on an older AMD Quad core @2.3GHz I'm torn. I'll add a poll, voice your votes! - - - Updated - - - Poll's up
Re: Looking at a GTX 750.. I say R9 unless you want PhysX. You get a bit more performance than the 750 Ti FTW and lots of OC headroom (I have mine clocked at 1010 MHz, perfectly stable and works great).
I've played one game with PhysX on my old integrated AMD graphics and there was a plug-in or something that got it working... I'm thinking the R9... I thank everyone for their helpful inputs. I had no idea the Sapphire card even existed so double-thank you! I'll be buying within a couple months. Want to hear a joke? I tried overclocking my GT610...it overheated at 920 MHz clock
The Sapphire cooler is just amazing. At 1050 MHz it ran perfectly cool too, basically transforming it into a 270X. Skyrim crashed a lot at that speed though, so I went back to 1010 MHz. But 1050 is fine, I blame Bethesda for buggy games. Sapphire's Dual-X cooler seems to be the best dual fan cooler around after ASUS' STRIX coolers and EVGA's ACX.
