Low FPS

hello,

whenever I start playing beamng on gridmap, it runs fine at 110-120 fps. however, after playing for about 10-15 minutes, my fps will randomly drop to ~10-15. I have checked my temps and they aren't abnormally high. what is going on?
Specs:
i7-10750H
GTX 1660 TI
16GB 2933 MHZ

 

I had a similar problem but it only seemed to happen when I customized a car. it hasn't happened in about a week so I'm not sure what the problem was.

 

How high are they? Your CPU is probably throttling itself anyway as the temperature exceeds a certain treshold. Playing & charging at the same time doesn't help the cause either as it makes the internals heat up more/quicker

it just happened. i didnt customize the car to see if it was the problem

 

Welp, according to Intel's website, your CPU can reach 212F before it shuts down the whole laptop, but the way you described the issue still makes it sound to me like the CPU is just throttling down to keep itself from reaching that maximum temperature
