Brand: Lehmann (based off Mercedes Benz) Start Year: 1894 End Year: 2053 Backstory: Gary Lehmann, the founder of the company was tired of seeing horse carriages used by the rich. They were slow anyway, and he stepped in horse turd every week or so. But in 1889 him and Fredrick Meier manages to design a "horseless wagon" in 1893. In 1894 they managed to release it to the public. After the 1910s, they started going for the middle class buyer, by in 1913, first making the Lehmann 140S. This kinda worked, but it was used by the upper middle class. In 1919 Lehmann died due to murder. WW1 and WW2 happened so Lehmann put trucks out from the WW2 style branch still used. But in 1928, they entered the world of motorsports and keep doing well to this day. Then they kept making small cars. In the 50s and 60s, they mostly made boxy cars, and then Lehmann grew to its full potential producing cars like madmen. They managed to come to America in the 70s and succeeded in the market. Now it makes normal cars and luxury cars and is doing well for itself. Name: Volpe Start Year: 1957 Country: Italy Backstory: Volpe was started in the coastal town of Ancona in Italy by a young lady named Viola Carmine. Her father was a airplane mechanic during WWII and now owned a small auto-mechanics shop. She was fascinated by fuel injected engines and had always wanted to start her own car manufacture. -Random fun fact: Volpe's first car was a compact car that looked a lot like the BMW Isetta except it had two doors on the side versus one door on the front. Volpe has not entered any motorsport since, besides having a small logo on the rear wing Minardi F1 Team's 2005 F1 car. ___________________________________________________ Model 1: HaTCH First year: 1994 Last year: 2005 Trim 1: HaTCH S (Strada) Worth: 20,000$, 17,019€, 15,594£ Engine: 1.7L I4 Drivetrain: FWD Aspiration: Natural Doors: 5 Seats: 5 Extra Notes: A very generic hatch back version. Name: Bolger (Think Cadillac or Lincoln for cars, and Rolls-Royce for plane engines). Country: United States. Start Year: 1910. Backstory: Anthony Bolger, the son of a British immigrant, started building carriages in 1897. He used to build models that would be luxurious, but cheaper than estabilished luxury brands. In 1910, he decided to go into the motorcar trade. The company started out using off-the-shelf designs, but in 1917, they've had their own engine - a straight-six. However, their first V8 (1921) was somewhat underdeveloped. Bolger would have gone under, if not for the acquisition by FMI (Federated Motor Industries) in 1923. With the new money and engineering resources, the company started creating innovative and luxurious vehicles at very competitive prices. By 1928, the company had its own V12 and V16. Unfortunately, the Great Depression gave their business a lot of problems. The company survived the 30s and 40s by selling rebadged and redesigned smaller FMI cars, as well as dropping the V12 and V16. However, the V16 wasn't all dead in the 40s: a design based on it, produced by Bolger, was used in the AF40 "Stallion" fighter plane. That gave rise to Bolger Aerospace, the company that, since then, has virtually had a monopoly for U.S. Army and Boeing plane engines. In the 50s, Bolger returned to its former glory. With the American customers having enough buying power, the company was able to reintroduce the V12 and V16 powertrains, as well as 4-door convertibles. It also had Versailles, a FMI division producing Bolger-style luxury cars, but in smaller, cheaper bodies, spun out in 1956, when the last B-Chassis Bolger was made. In the 60s, the company was highly profitable, despite very competitive prices. It was considered the world standard for luxury (especially after the well-known 1966 Car and Driver comparo, which showed that a Bolger Series 235 with a V16 was a better car than a Stewart-Charles Courthouse (RR Phantom), while costing a lot less), and had its cars exported all around the world, and even produced in South Africa for RHD markets. However, the 70s made the company's reputation go down a bit. The powerful, but fuel-hungry engines were no longer in vogue. Despite good value, Bolgers started having less of a sales edge over Euro makers. Also, in 1978, the V12 and V16 models were dropped, with the CAFE act making production of them not worth it. The 80s weren't a good time. The brand was left with three models, Cruiser, Fisher and Series 255. Well, at least they had the only convertibles in FMI, and in 1985, the Cruiser got a new, FWD unibody chassis (the convertible was now gone). However, it wasn't wanted by fleets too much. Due to that, in 1991, the Cruiser was dropped. The now-downmarketed and redesigned Fisher was meant to replace it, now losing the 2-door variant. The Series 265 was also dropped, with buyers going either Euro luxury car, or full-on limo. This left Bolger as a one-model company, now with their V8s replaced by off-the-shelf FMI ones. In 1997, Bolger expanded into a new market - SUVs. The Premier was released, and basically replaced the Fisher wagon, which was gone with the 1998 redesign (although Bolger regained its own V8, now OHC). With that, in the 2000s, Bolger was having quite good sales again - fleets loved the Fisher, and the Premier was a New Rich status symbol. Between 2002 and 2007, the company also made the BML, a midsize sedan, but it was discontinued, due to biting into Versailles' sector of the market. In 2009, the Fisher was dropped. However, protests from fleet managers led to a reintroduction of the model line in 2014, now as a crossover, but still on a perimeter frame. With the new model, the Premier was dropped, and Bolger is a one-model brand again. ___________________________________________________ Series 235 ('68 model): First year: 1967. Last year: 1968. Name: Goldman Country: Australia Founded: 1919 Defunct: ??? Location: Melbourne, VIC, Australia In 1919, William J. Goldman, an American entrepreneur, who just moved to Australia 2 years ago, founded the company in Melbourne with his Australian friend Sir Harold Grimm. The company originally made luxury cars and high-end sport cars, and also competed with the Europeans in the Grand Prix in the 1920s. But in 1930, the company suddenly became nearly bankrupt thanks to the Great Depression and no cars were made from 1930 to 1938. In 1938, the American automaker Bruckell bought the company with 1.1 million dollars. After the world war, the company shifted the focus to mass-market cars. At first, most of it's cars failed, until 1957 Goldman launched the Ranger, to compete with Gavril's Pioneer. The Ranger is an big success, over 10 million units were made from 1957 to now. The '60s is the time that Goldman is rising in the local market. Goldman not only sells Rangers en masse, also, they have also launched the Goldman Aventa, a low-production sports car in 1964. In the same year Goldman joined Le Mans and have a great time, winning the race 2 years in a row. But in 1970s and the 1980s, the Button Car Plan and also the oil crisis let Goldman's most popular car, the Ranger suffered on sales. In 1977 Goldman was sold to Japanese company Ibishu, although the company still also sells Bruckells to Australia under their name until 1998. Therefore, the company started to venture to new cars in the late '80s. The more smaller Goldman Pessima was launched in 1996, as a rebadged version of the Ibishu Pessima, sold well in Australia. In 1997 Goldman launched their performance brand, Goldman Racing Team (GRT) to keep up with the competition. At the same time, the redesigned Goldman Ranger was launched and it regained sales of the model line, making it the best-selling car in Australia from 1998 to 2005. In 2002, Goldman also starting to sell cars globally. But later, Goldman suddenly faced more bigger challenges in the home market as tastes changed. The market wanted small, economical cars. The Ranger doesn't fit the bill. Later, bad economy, and also other problems like strong Aussie dollar leading Goldman announced that the Ranger will be discontinued in 2017 and the 4 out of 5 factories will be closed. The last Ranger came out in Melbourne in 10 September 2017, but the factory will be remaining open as the factory will produce the Atrix supercar, which is going to be launched in November 2017. This car required a Satanic ritual, involving human sacrifices, a blood offering to the Devil and the cooperation of the MLM Race department to provide the twin engines and the body work department based out of Switzerland to make such a monster possible, the power of the twin engines alone could rewrite the laws of physics itself, its top speed is over Mach [REDACTED]. No one will EVER buy a car like this but it was built to see what could be done with the advanced nano technology pushed to the absolute limits of physics itself, it has been rumoured to have been seen flying in the desert at night doing all manner of aerobatic maneuvers, when it fires up the rumble from its engines can be heard 10 miles away as for when its screaming at its maximum revs, its got a blood curdling high pitched howl to it. It was said when the twin engines were hooked up to the dyno it produced so much power and torque it destroyed the dynamometer also caused considerable damage to the room itself, the total output of the engines is unknown, calculations said it would be somewhere surpassing [REDACTED] bhp at [REDACTED] rpm and [REDACTED] ft lbs at [REDACTED] rpm. Extra Notes: The Black Ops Division made this car as a "Carte Blanche" project to see what could be done with the technology they had at their fingertips and Reg and Ted both had input into the project. It is said to be locked in the deepest vaults of the company's mysterious mountain base chained to the floor without its wheels to keep it from moving under its own power and without a driver....it is said that the car is possessed by the Devil himself due to when it was first fired up it and it let out a demonic ground shaking howl it shook the plant to its core and it was rumoured that this car could destroy all 4 of its tyres in under a second at full revs and it could spit fire out the exhaust system upwards of 20 feet to either side of the car the engine itself has been rumoured to be kept with a working chassis and its been kept under lock and key at Groom Lake... ______________________________________________________________________________________ (I wanted to make sure I would leave you with a taste of my creatively insane mind really is, and all the specs for Goliath and El Diablo are accurate to 5.5G and to 9G, I checked using maths!, no one would be mad enough to create "El Diablo" its so extreme in some respects it breaks the laws of physics...)
