making your own skin.

how do you make your own skin?

I've been searching around for quite a while now, yet I have only found how to change color of car, in-game and outside game.
The thing is, I want to make my own skins for cars, not download forum made skins which everyone can use.

If someone have some kind of tutorial on this, I'd appreciate it alot.

Nevermind. Figured out how to do it.
Creating a tutorial for others who doesn't get it.

 

You mean opening one of the cars texture files? Done that already, but I want to be able to create it as another paint I can use like the police paint for the Grand Marshal.

You sir, I owe you! I couldn't get the DDS plugin to work on gimp, so I left it. then, a week ago I decided to buy photoshop, as the inner photographer in me wanted it and then, for a week I was trying to find this post! thank you good sir!
