The Diesel is unfinished as heck. Torque curve might be extremely inaccurate because I still can't find any references for it, and it has the same inertia as the 650cc one for now which is why it revs up way too quick. I will get to improving it later.

    Front offroad suspension done
    sdadsas.png
This thing drives absolutely terrible due to having no sway bar on such a tall suspension (it's an option but not on by default), but still better than the version in the original mod lol
Modifications to the ride height cause extreme camber that has to be readjusted manually so I put a bigger range than normal.
Supports all the normal wheel hubs of the car. I also added 5, 6 and 8 lug ones because why not, you can make useless stuff like this that literally doesn't drive at all because the rear wheels don't touch the ground lol

Are there 4 lugs that supports all normal wheels? For example the vanilla wheels and the d troxx wheel pack.

There are 2 types of 4-lug wheel hubs in the mod, the ones with Fiat pattern for Fiat wheels (stock and OEM) and the ones with standard pattern for vanilla wheels and all the ones not made by Fiat. All the other hubs are for vanilla wheels, everything should work with mods.
If this isn't enough I can add dually wheels too lol, someone probably has made a build like that, if not yet then someone WILL do it, this car is a great platform for crazy projects like this lol

Wait, so why does a normal RPM with light flywheel prevent the car from starting to move? I know it's a little off-topic but I would normally assume that the engine being at a higher idle RPM is always good except for wasting gas.

I'm not entirely sure why but it does happen. Could be because it's a 2 cylinder engine where both cylinders fire at the same time which effectively makes it like 2 1-cylinder engines connected to the same flywheel. Logically it would behave kinda like a sewing machine operated by leg if you have ever seen one. It needs to have this big heavy wheel or else you will never manage to get it started. I imagine that lower idle RPM means that the dynamic friction is lower so it's easier to turn it regardless of the weight? I'm sure there's some physics behind this but no idea what exactly happens there.

Turns out it drives way better with both offroad suspensions than with just the front offroad and rear normal, who would have thought lol

This is still very WIP and not tested almost at all but at least it drives. Haven't added any offroad wheel hubs, too tired today. Haven't actually played the game for fun in like 3 weeks, only worked on mods, so I need a break.

Speaking of monster trucks, the mod originally had monster wheels in it, maybe I can make them more realistic and include them (for all cars of course)

    Wow.
Yeah, you can take a biig break from modding lmao, the amount of work you put into this is nuts.
And also just enjoy beamng for fun :)

I say this, as my pc just bluescreened.

It's actually the other way. Look at it this way, you need certain amount of momentum to keep engine running smoothly. If your fly wheel is lighter you have less momentum, so you have to increase idle rpm. For example diesel engines usually have heavier flywheels and lower idle. Some motorbikes idle at 2000rpm etc. It's a common knowledge in tuners word, that when you make your flywheel lighter RPM have to go up ;)

Edit: The lighter flywheel, the quicker engine revs, as it's easier to accelerate less mass.

Then I have absolutely no idea why irl people recommend lowering idle RPM for this car when reducing flywheel weight, and why it also happens in game. Perhaps something specific to this torque curve?

Could be that due to carburetor setting delivering fuel for idle with heavy flywheel, so it automatically raises original rpm. Also each combustion on neutral may be more jerky, so to overcome this issue they found a solution in lowering rpm. But it's an exception, in common engines it would make it worse.

Makes sense, a version with more modern carburetor (which also ran on unleaded fuel) came with a lighter flywheel, so I imagine it was a carburetor issue.
