That's alright, quality mods take time after all
Corrected type of race and off-road brakes from disc to vented disc, increased cooling coef to a realistic value for race brakes, added brake bias tuning. Please check if they don't fade now, for me they don't.
Man, if only the 1.5 public release announcement would land on page 69.
Later today I'll test it. Finally I won't need to go with drums in the rear just to have balanced brakes. Also I hope not to see smoke from the front brakes just between the Dunlop and Degner corners on Suzuka. Anyway, this little thing is getting really good to drive. Even better than some vanilla vehicles
I made some huge changes to the rear suspension and swaybar to prevent it from exploding on extreme bumps on 1 wheel, wait with the testing until I send a newer beta to you, you will have to test the swaybar again
Before and after changes
Only one side gets affected now and it doesn't explode
Never had that problem but ok. I found out why it was driving so well: I had the Stability Control On (I'm dumb, I know). Anyway the new brakes don't fade anymore and the sway bars do their job, Although the rear one is almost useless, since the car is too tail heavy and it oversteers independently of the sway bar configuration, but they work anyway (my suggestion would be to use wider wheels in the back than the front ones as well as higher tire pressure in front too).
How did you have stability control on this car?? Maybe I should add it as aftermarket electronics or something even though it doesn't exist irl. And since you know a lot about this kind of tuning, could you edit the presets yourself so they drive good and send me the files? I'm kinda clueless in this regard, no experience. I'm talking about the race, hillclimb, drift, street racing and similar versions, you should probably leave the rally ones as they are since they are not meant to be very good realistically.
They might have been using your values mod.
Actually not. I'm using my AWD pack, since it adds a DSE Slot to every car with a brake line lock slot.
I'll take a look into them.
If the stability control comes, will it be possible that the different modes change the sound of the engine?
i think this is a system only for supercarged cars like the redtail
Not adding the electronics yet, too much work to tune it properly that would delay release + not period correct for this car
this is kinda what i said
It isn't, it's a flap in the exhaust mostly. Apart from the supercharger disabling in caged mode there's not much else.
Final changes are being done to the configs
Update hopefully pretty soon and if any issues are found now they will be fixed in a hotfix, not worth delaying it at this point
So sometime this week?
This is very exciting!
I won't say the planned release date yet because it could be changed potentially if something bad happens and that would be disappointing to everyone.
Also a heads up, FOR WHEN IT RELEASES, BEFORE INSTALLING THE NEW VERSION, REMOVE THE OLD ONE AND CLEAR CACHE. At this point several testers had issues due to uncleared cache so I definitely need to say this.
