Imagine that for rally at first they used an almost unmodified stock version, with added livery, rally tires, and engine swapped from a stock Austrian version of the car (640cc aircooled Boxer-2 with a slightly better carburetor than Polish version, 25hp@4800RPM so literally 1 horsepower more than the 650cc, peak torque 41NM@3000RPM so exactly the same as the 650cc after fuel efficiency upgrades in the 650E trim)
Lightened? Currently it accelerates like a rocket. Unless that's to fix the suspension and then reduce power.
I mean the weight of the car. It's still way heavier than the real life equivalent. But with my changes to the engines, transmission and diff, the acceleration is realistic (which means way slower than before).
Brilliant. I don't know why but I much prefer when a car is slow and doesn't top out quickly. Looking forward to those changes, and I think I speak for everyone when I say we appreciate you stepping up and taking on this task.
Thanks, I always wanted to have a better version of this mod so helping with making one myself is a great opportunity, of course it's way harder than I imagined, like with any modding (I would have expected to have all done by now, but I'm not even halfway done), but the results are worth it, I like how accurate it is turning out. Also I might try the tilting windows again after I fix the weight, I have a new idea for them, maybe I can get them to work like on the real car finally.
You said it, i've been trying to port a BRZ GT300 model from gt6 to assetto corsa, and i'm still fixing the model. I've also been trying to port the Wii U Wario Stadium to Beamng, but making a map is much more difficult than thought.
Making a map is still 100 times easier than making a car. In a map you can reuse models from other maps, in a car not. I'm so glad I don't have to make a 3D model for this myself but I have a pre-made one, even if not the best quality.
I just wanted to ask if you guys could add these bumper guard things to the mod? --- Post updated ---
They would be cool, along with some decklid vent covers/deco with various versions and aftermarket seats, I hope these can be added in the future --- Post updated --- I wanted to find reference images for custom parts but I found a lot of cursed modifications instead
They are called eyelids or headlight lids, and I have no idea what they are for in this car if it already has visible rubber isolation around the lights, probably just a stylistic thing. Older cars had them to protect the headlight from rain as far as I know.
I would add a lot of things including this, if I had the models for them, but I don't. And I don't have enough experience to model things myself.
