MAN TGX/TGS originally made by MRcrash/RenAzuma66, but long since been abandoned, now updated and slightly polished up SOME FEATURES - ADDED GPS AND ANIMATED INTERIOR PARTS - MODEL FILES COMBINED - FULL PBR MATERIALS - UNLOCKED ROAD/OFFROAD FRAME/PART COMBINATIONS JBEAM is untouched from the original UPD, the drivetrain matching is fixed in default configs (hopefully), tested in 0.31, working fine, but no support for new trailer systems SCREENSHOTS BELOW
Feels wrong that I still downloaded without any indication of the OP saying this can be uploaded but this was a really good mod so if it is indeed fixed cool.
Tbh I dont get why people care if someone reworks years old mod that the author hasent touched in years, even without permission. Most of the time there is no way to reach the author since anyway.
It's not made by Car_Killer, it's made by MRcrash and myself. What made you think the TGS was *long* abandoned? As I also showed on it's thread, there had been more content made for almost 2 more years after the mod's first release. Life got in the way of things and maybe at some point, it will be released. Plus just from the images, the configs are inaccurate and there is no TGX to be seen. With permission from Giants.
Well. Let me just start off with saying I'm not an expert xD So take this with a grain of salt. But it appears Giant owns the rights to the mod, and thus I think they are the ones who can make a copyright claim. So I think copyright can be kinda ruled out here. But if it also doesn't comply with beamNG rules then that's another thing to consider. Let me also say tho, that I think permission should always be asked.
Of course, I wouldn't expect Giants to take any action anyways You can but idk if I can give one. If we ever have time to polish it and remove game breaking things then yes it could be released.
i agree, if they were making money out of it i'd understand that it's unfair to the original author, but when the reworkers do it for free i think it's much better than letting the mod die. makes me a little upset that so many people would rather let these high quality mods with many hours put in their creation die instead of letting someone rework them
I think having permission would always be beneficial, especially if it's as easy as a direct message. Call it selfish but the developer could be; not interested in/against having the mod updated (for whatever reason, such as that they themselves are remastering it), planning to update it themselves, not around anymore and do not want themselves associated with the mod/content. (Such as how gabester did not want his old cars put into beam, barring the Bandit) Getting permission would not be difficult in the case of mods that had been recently made, that probably have their creators still around. And if the mod is so old that the creator is not around anymore, that would be a different topic of discussion. Plus, I don't know if this goes for everyone, but as a modder myself, I'd rather just be aware of who is doing what with my mod and reuploading it where. For the TGS, me and MRcrash wouldn't mind anyone reworking it if it wasn't for the fact that we ourselves did, it just never got to see the light of day for a multitude of reasons.
Do u like the first version of the mod? No. He tried to make it better. Apreciate that for GOD'S SAKE
thank you but i have some issues with the mod 1. LX cab has no fenders 2. Some configs for some reason dont drive 3. Crane has no controls or the ability to get bindings 4. Cab has no logo on the front above the MAN lettering 5. Any type of chrome color wont work on the paint job
