I would really like it if BeamNG drive could have shifting animations for the manual (Stick Shift) cars' shift sticks. I think I remember some stick shift cars in ROR had animations for the shift stick, but in BeamNG there are only animations for the automatic cars' shifters. For example, if the car has a 6 speed transmission it can have 8 different models of the shift stick, 6 for the drive gears, one for reverse and one for neutral. Then, depending on which gear you are in, like let's say you are in fourth gear, it would show only the model for fourth gear, then when you shift to fifth, it switches from showing the 4th gear model to the fifth gear model. For my example photos I used a bone armature in blender to bend the shifter into its postitions but I'm not too great at it. Also, I would like to see a shifting animation for paddle shifter cars too. Z
Same here man, we have the auto column shifter simulation, would be nice to see a floor manual shift animation as well. In fact, it could even take a half a second to shift into the desired gear in case you are slamming through them fast in a sequential shift pattern (For us gamepad/keyboard/paddle shift users). Cheers!
i assume the issue with this is that they would have to fully animate the stick shift for whatever people with analogue shifter have it set at ? else there's no reason for this to take so long to be implemented.
