It would be cool if there were certain maps that had generated AI that caused destruction on your cars.

    Concept 1:

A railroad crossing where you can get destroyed by a freight train. Maybe even the freight train can be derailed and take damage as well. The ability to adjust the speed of the train would be cool too. Possibly have about 6 carts on it.

    Concept 2:

A four way intersection with the main road being longer to get speed. Fully functional red, yellow, and green light that controls the intersection. To make sure this doesn't slow down the map (too many cars), maybe they spawn and and destroy after reaching a certain point in the map.

    Concept 3:

May be heavy on most computers, but a highway.

This game really reminds me of the older Burnout series when it was actually about the destruction. Having some maps like that would be awesome.

Feel free to suggest some ideas.

Some cool ideas here, really like the train idea. The best though is the highway. I've dreamt of having the ability to make a realistic real word physics game
modeled after a local stretch of highway with TOD traffic patterns, rush hours, random accidents etc. DRIVE has allowed a huge jump towards this
    dream. HOOYAH!

EDIT: Until the AI is working properly none of this is feasible yet.

AI wouldn't be needed for the first idea, since a train just remains powered, moving along its track. A great necessity for trains, slidenodes, aren't quite in yet, but since about half of all planned vehicles require them for their struts, they're near first-priority. Assuming slidenode implementation happens within the year, we could see community-built trains in as little as eight months (maybe).

As for concepts two and three, I like them. A similar idea to Burnout's crash junctions, though I could see some issues with supporting more than four or five cars at once. When and if AI ever becomes greatly intuitive, I could see map-makers having great fun with this kind of idea.
