I noticed a problem with the Marshall going down the Dry Rock Island on the course for the friendly rally competition ( easy to find the thread) and, staying on the road, going as fast as I can, up to the first "hairpin", I noticed that I couldn't steer to the left when I reached it. Turns out, on every Marshall that I tried, the right wheel gets damaged so bad that it doesn't steer anymore. I tried it several times and it's always the right wheel, just before the hairpin. Does this happen to everybody?
that happens to me like all over the place with not only the marshal but also the ibishu and sometimes i cant move the bolide more than 3 meters before a front axle snaps.... might be the fact that i play with xbox 360 pad and have dynamic steering off, so the steering is unrealisticly fast compared to real life and might cause unrealistic high physic forces on the beams, i have no idea.
I tried in all the other vehicles, going as fast or faster than the Marshall ( including the van). None of them broke their axle or anything for that matter. I also play without dynamic steering. BUT I tried the Marshall with and without dynamic steering. Both had the exact same results and just before the hairpin on both occasions.
well then its a question of driving i would assume ? how fast do you go and what do you hit in the moment the axle snaps ? that would be interesting edit: btw i really love your avatar, nice one!
God I hate accepting the post guidelines every time I make a reply.... Oh well: Thanks, somebody made the avatar for me a few years ago in some other game I have no idea on the actual speed. I can never get a clue in this game on how fast I'm really going. Well, I guess I can say that I was going as fast as I could, without losing control over the car. I wasn't going as fast as the covet, but I was going just a little faster than the van can go in that area.
hm somehow, i dont have to accept those reply rules anymore, just noticed now after your comment, was annoyed of that too.^^ you can see the actual air-speed around your car in the debug menu, you can switch throu debug menus with K and L buttons and disable them with alt+F1 if you dont want to cicle back/forth throu others again to get rid of it.
Oh nice, I didn't know that. I will test the Marshall with the debug menu a bit later, thanks I am curious as to how that specific wheel lodges off the axle every time. There may be a bug with it, since it shouldn't happen I think.
The solution I found and used for the marshal on the hairpin turns is to slow down the rate I move the wheel, and the total angle the wheels are turned, this has prevented issues for me. Unless they come out with a "Fix" I'll be doing that.
