Hi does changing the radiator type from Electrical to Mechanical actually effect the radiators performance like Radiator Air Speed or does it just effect the looks.
The choice of mechanical or electrical determines how the rad fan operates. The mechanical fans once they reach operating temp and engage they will only spin up as much the engine it's attached to, this means the amount of cooling provided is based on engine RPM. Electrical fans on the otherhand will work to 100% regardless of engine speed.
