Why have my posts and people like 6677 got much less posts? Capture.JPG I used to have like 800-850

because you are not up to date with the shit

posts in offtopic don't count, you would know that if you go a few pages back in gen discs.

inb4 you completely stop posting there

Offtopic posts don't count, beause offtopic is not actually anyhow contributeing to the BeamNG frum, hence why it was removed.
Tdev did not see a point in senior members because they were often less mature than the regulars, not proving the seniority of the seniot members, so senior badges removed too.

Didn't even notice. I agree with eliminating the "senior/junior" stuff. Post counts are ridiculously over rated and almost worthless.

Wonder if we should remove post counts altogether. Probably need the person's age and years of service. The post count removes the need of the children on here to spam. Time is something you can't lawd about as an arbitrary achievement by annoying people with idiotic posts.

Yeap. We should just remove post count, it will massively reduce shitposts and spam.

I agree with Hati's idea of join year and leave it at that. Unfortunately most forum programs and admins like it as an indispensable tool to attract todays
generation of internet sheep, trolls, drones and toolsheds, not to mention the advertising side of it.

I'm in for removing them as well. Because now people get into threads, full-quoting others and just putting an "Yep" or "Exactly" or "This" under it and push their post count just the same.

We should replace the post count with number of thanks. Think about it for a minute, People would stop shit posting as much, You would be able to tell easily if someone is worth listening too as well.
I've susgested this to tdev and I was ingored...

I'd lose that battle immediately. My thanks to thanked ratio is 100 to 1.:p

Another benefit to killing the post count is the elimination of worthless threads de-railed after the first ten posts.

I think we should have a "number of times thanked" display instead of post count. That way you could see who makes good posts, and not who simply has the most.

All that would mean is that we'd have a bunch more thanks whores. We should probably leave it like it is and not just post pointless stuff like this thread.

"Yeah thank this post if you agree :)"

I can totally see that coming...

It would be a lot more difficult to "earn" a thanks. No doubt though, some douchebags would certainly find a way to make it work. I'm done with this thread.

It seems dumb to go to that effort just to get more thanks, also it's easy to see who is always thanking the same posts. IP check, ban follows.
