Sooo, quick question. Where are the midsize (Newer V6 Pessima) tires located? I made a setup that uses the 215/55 R16 Sport Tires on the front and rear axle, and I found those tires in the tires_F_25.jbeam and tires_R_25.jbeam, modified them to have some more grip for a more powerful engine and to take around the track faster (yes I know that puts it at risk of rolling over).

However once I changed it and put into it's own mod zip file (yes I made sure the file structure was correct). The car acted as if it didn't happen. The tires stay stock. I even put my modified files directly in the game and it still didn't work. I out right deleted the modded and stock files and the car still had the tires, which now lets me know the tire files for the newer Pessima is somewhere else.

did you try reloading the game? if you create an unpacked folder while the game is open, it won't read it until you restart the game.

the best way I've found for finding the correct tires, is to check the name in the in-game part selector (e.g. 225/45 R15 Sport Tires), then just use ctrl F and search for that name in all of the tires_*_F.jbeam files.

That's exactly what I did, I found the correct tire in the tires files and modified it, and yes I had the game closed already before working on them. The problem is just the game is acting like what I just modified is still stock. It's like it isn't even reading the file itself. I have a zipped called "custom_pessima_tires_mod.zip". In it has vehicles folder, in that the common folder, and in that the tires folder. So the file structure is correct.

To find the 215/55 R16 Sport Front and Rear tires, you use the tires_25_F.jbeam and same R.jbeam respectively. I did that. Found the 215/55 R16 tires, and it modded that. but the game isn't reading that it's modified. The car still understeers horribly as if stock (atleast compared to my other modified vehicles).

Normally if you have a modified part and you make a mod for it without changing the name, the game replaces that part with the modified one, while keeping the same name. But I will try that out.
