Hi, is there a way to disable the time it takes for the game to activate the gear you have selected but without the use of the clutch and rev-matching?

Go to Options > Gameplay, disable all aids and use Realistic shifting mode.

    Not that.
In the video above you can see me put from 6th gear to third, and it takes a little time for third to engage, that is what i want to disable.

    Update 0.10:
    • Implemented delay to punish shifts without using enough clutch, while still applying damage to the affected gear
This is what i would like to disable, it's fine if i have to do it from the game files.

okay thats realy weird, i know when it come to shifting up and down with a controller there a delay since they did some change a couple game version befor, but im also using a g27 with original shifter+clutch pedal gas brake ect and there is no delay between 1-2-3-4-5-6 R gear, it shift as fast as you can go :/

i would like to see a video of this prob, but coming from YouTube because im not downloading anything hehe

No, you can't disable the punishment for not shifting correctly. If you need clutchless shifts, please use a sequential gearbox :)

Also, i am not talking about normal shifting, think about it this way, you are cruising down the highway in fifth and you bang it in second without the clutch

Okay, still, is there a way through coding?

Alright, I have heard of floating gears... but... Why oh why would you EVER do that? That's a great way to just scatter your transmission across the highway if you even slightly mess that up... especially since you are claiming to "bang it in" so you aren't rev matching or trying to get things lined up to actually work. If you want a shift like that, your gonna need an automatic with selectable gears... there is no way anything else is gonna keep up with that insanity.

Look, it's a game:D and also it is slightly annoying when i am 100 rpm away from the desired rpm for the gear i want to shift it into and then with the delay it drops around 800rpm.

when you got it right it supose to instantly get into the gear you just need to have more accurate rpm and speed calcule:), i usde to do that some time when using the covet lol

Well... in power shifting your still using the clutch because the syncros could never take that kind of abuse and actually get the change done... and if they could... it wouldn't work for more than a couple of shifts in that gear.

What it sounds like to me is he wants to try and float the gears, but at speed... perhaps something could be added (if not already in) that if your RPM's are very close for rengagement you could get it to shift into gear without the clutch? Again... to actually be able to nail shifts like this you would have to be VERY good at throttle control and load management in the car. In real life, I can float gears all day long without grinding a gear, but that's just smooth driving... low RPM shifts... not the intense kind of shifting your speaking of.
