Missing textures after downloading mod?

Copied and pasted this off from my thread in Steam discussions.

Hello,

So I had decided to download some skin mods for the default cars, however after installing them my wheels disappeared completely, and textures (namely the window and roll cage) have been replaced with an orange "NO MATERIAL".

I did not tweak anything in the .zip files that came with it.

Any ideas on how to fix this?


Additionally, only terrain mods work for me. Vehicle mods either disappear without reason or cause the game to glitch like the problem I'm facing right now. Any ideas on how to fix?

 

Did you unzip the files when you dropped them in the mods folder? Because that can sometimes cause issues like this.
Other than the mods listed above, do you have any more installed?

 

If by unzipped you meant unpack, then yes I unzipped the Sunburst mod.
However, this did nothing to the game. It was only downloading and installing the other listed mods (which i did not unpack) that caused the issue. The Sunburst skin does not show up in-game however.

I have D-Troxx's custom 200BX mod (which does not work, probably due to me unpacking it),
Bridgestone tyres mod (does not work)
Akron Motor Speedway,
The Descent,
and lastly the Jump and Demolition Derby scenarios by Scepheo.

The last 3 mods stated have no issues with loading.

 

When you download the mods, just take the .zip files and drop them into your C:/users/(username)/Documents/BeamNG.drive/Mods folder, unless there is instructions on the mod page to do otherwise. When you unzip (or unpack) the files, there is more of a chance for the files to either go missing/undetected by the game, or clash with others.
Just re-download the mods, or look in your downloads folder for the .zip files and copy them again.
You'll also want to delete the old files from the mods folder.
