So, I was wondering if there was someone here who could help me, or open a commission for modding non-vanilla vehicles on Beamng? I have several vehicle models with neat details and parts including engine and essential part and i'm really enthusiastic to see it with the physics of beamng, but the problem is the files are in 3ds format and i don't really proficient to using blender. so is there someone that could help me with it? also, if i have to use a commission service, how much it will cost me? thanks everyone, have a nice day
well thank you for your kind respond . but i can't figure out how thing's work in beamng, did it just work all the way after i exported it from blender to beamng or i have to do some work with it. i've seen some youtube video and the developer wiki, it's mention a lot of thing like jbeam (?) but still it's come to a conclusion that i dont undestand a single thing HAHA. so yeah hopefully somebody here will kind enough to tell me what to do and thank you for the warm greet, i'm new here
Oh, i get what you meant now. Misunderstood a bit. In blender, there is a whole Jbeam editor, if you wanna put the models ingame, you gotta make a somewhat alright Jbeam, doesn't have to be aligned perfectly (from what i've heard). You can learn a bit here: https://documentation.beamng.com/modding/vehicle/intro_jbeam/ and search for tutorials or modding channels like Fillman86, where he partially explains stuff. Also, the jbeam editor is pretty simple, instead of writing the positions in the JSON or something, you just put the node name, and put it around the body. Once you get the hang of it, it will be much easier. Hope you understand this atleast a bit
You could also make a mesh slap. But those are looked down on because those usually end up "as pay 10$ for a pile of hot garbage" kinda mods. It is also lower quality because of the mismatched Jbeam. So it's not a good idea. Any pictures of the models?
