One thing I have found is that the in-game messages involving errors are lacking. It usually just says "this could be caused by broken mods, go in safe mode" when something breaks. I would like to see the following: -Fatal Part Loading Error (when the entire car disappears): "The part '(selected part)' caused a fatal error. Please change the part to continue" -Major Part Loading Error (when the part doesn't load at all): "The part '(selected part)' failed to load. Please change the part to continue" -Minor Part Loading Error (when the part goes to default or empty when it is selected): "The part '(selected part)' has detected problems" -Vehicle Missing Part/Slot (when a config is loaded with nonexistent parts): "The part(s) '(all missing parts)' could not be found. You may be missing a mod." -Fatal Vehicle Loading Error (when the main jbeam cannot be found, like when you load a skin pack without the original car. The game usually crashes when this happens): "The vehicle '(vehicle)' could not be loaded due to a fatal error." -Texture grabbing error (when a vehicle says no texture or is white): "The file '(materials.cs / .dae / .cdae / texture file)' could not be found at (file location)" Another part that could use improvement is the file reloading. When the game is paused, it should not be "using" any files. This causes problems when a file can't be edited because "This file is open in another program".
have you noticed the console? ~ <this button, usually under the escape key. will show a lot more info on the problem itself. now im just in the main menu just to show you the console itself. but this is where the game will try to tell you where the problem is coming from.
