I've been "in" the beamng community since 2017 (chronic lurker) and I feel as I see more and more mods being developed and posted I have seen more and more of them be abandoned. One thing I can attribute to this is that overall mods have risen in quality dramatically since the earlier days of Beam, and therefore on average a mod needs to be worked on much longer, and the modder needs to be more skilled overall. But what I think doesn't get noticed as much is the pressure they put on themselves when they post their mod, especially at super early stages in development. Then as they take what is usually a reasonable amount of time to develop the mod, people lose interest, and constantly being asked when the mod is going to be released has to be draining. Why do modders still do this? Obviously i'm not one myself, but wouldn't it be so much easier to work on a mod in peace, and maybe share it with a few people for testing/feedback purposes? As opposed to posting it when it's 10% done, knowing it could be YEARS before they are able to finish it. And to clarify I'm not blaming modders for this, but it does seem like they could be going about this in a much easier way.
