Now this...is really something else. For about a month now, or whenever I purchased the game, I've been trying to install mods onto BeamNG Drive. My problem is, is that in every attempt to install these mods off the BeamNG drive website by either using the green button to automatically install them, or the orange to download the zip file and place it into the mods folder, It simply hasnt worked. Now before anyone decides to link the "How To Install Mods" from the website, STOP RIGHT THERE. Ive been through that page multiple time on my attempt to solve this problem, and Ive followed the installation directions step by step and no luck. I have even tried un-installing the game, and re-installing on multiple occasions, or deleting the mods folder and restarting the game so it empties itself. NO LUCK.

    So heres the lowdown:
Mods will install into the mod menu within the games menu, or while playing on a map in the game, and will be present in the documents folder but will not appear in the map selector (if its a map mod) or in the vehicle selector (if its a vehicle).
I have tried this on many different mods, from vehicles, to skins, to maps themselves, and no luck.
I have un-installed and re-installed the game, no changes
I have deleted the mods folder, then started the game, installed a mod, and no luck.
And yes, I do restart the game each time after installing a mod

My games current update is 0.6.1.0.2748

I just click on download now and put the zip folder in the mods folder in the BeamNG.drive directory. Is that what you are saying thats wrong? Also, This goes in the Questions and support.

@Nadeox1 I think @Nick Elias would like this thread moved to the correct subforum. :)

@Nick Elias - check your console for errors. Press "~" on the keyboard to view/hide the console.
    1. Remove all mods.
    2. Clear cache.
    3. Install a map mod using the manual method (download and put in mods folder)
    4. Open game, check console. Take screenshot.
    5. Open level selector, check console. Take screenshot.
    6. Closet the game.
Share your screenshots plus beamng.log right after you try this. Attach all 3 files (2 screenshots and the log file) to your post in this thread.

    • Are you sure the mod is compatible or still working? ( Some mods are tagged as unsupported, it means they are too old and may not work anymore)
    • Are you sure your mods aren't just disabled? Press the 'MODS' button in the main menu and make sure the mods are activated
Maybe leave the link to the mod you are trying so we can also check that?
