So, I was mixing and matching engines/transmissions from different mods. Couldn't figure out why the car wasn't really working until I realized that. This made me start thinking about a couple ideas. Firstly - Color coding system, each mod has it's own color that the parts have as a background. i.e choices 1-3 are all light green from djplopper's variety pack, but 4-6 are light pink from spaceballstheusername's high power car pack. However, this could get really, really cluttery, so it could be as simple as 1-3 have a light gray background, 4-6 have white, 7-??? have light gray again(or grey, if you prefer that spelling.) Secondly - Rather than just having "Source - Mod" on the selection screen with all the configurations put "Source - Mod - Name of Mod" or have that be a customizable thing that devs can set(i.e "Source - Mod - DJPMCP"(djplopper's mega configuration pack, or whatever its called) or "Source - DJPMCP" with no specification that it's a mod(I mean, it's either Beam or it's not) Finally/Thirdly - Have a filter on the parts selection screen, to filter certain mods. Could we go activate/deactivate mods? Sure. But what if I want to fully customize a specific customization pack car, and a car from another large customization pack, without any crossover, but a lot of similar parts? A filter to search for parts that are mods by mod name or by mod creator would be super, SUPER helpful. I think that any/all of these would really help anyone who has more than even just 20 mods, much less 50 or (like me) 100+. Thank you!
