   almost every mod that i have downloaded with custom sounds has not worked, when i rev the engine it is just completely silent. any ideas?

   Try to re-install the mod. Delete the original mods, and re-install them.

   What game version?
   Are the mods too old? If so, they may not work anymore.
   Also, installing the mods correctly?
