modding (aircraft)

    i want to make an aircraft mod, and i know the bare bones and basics of modeling it, but I have no clue on jbeams, working wings, propulsion, let alone any functioning weapons. look, what I'm trying to say is id just like some tips on how to get some of these things working. any help is appreciated!

    I will say straight away, making an aeroplane mod, even without weapons systems, is exponentially harder than a car mod, since you have to pay way more attention to the weight/lift balance, and you have do bodge the jbeam system to give the body of it enough lift.

    I would heavily advise learning everything involved in making a car before tackling a plane, which itself is a pretty big ordeal.

    Making a plane mod can take several years even for an experienced modder, no exaggerating. I would advise to get significant experience first before attempting it.

    im not even tryna make it look good, a rectangle with wings is all I'm looking for, I just want a basic plane that can somewhat fly, and ill transfer those mechanics to more advanced stuff

    it's not really a 'one size fits all' approach, every plane has to have model specific JBeam weight values, lift values, etc. To even produce a basic flying concept would take loads of knowledge. start off simple with a parts mod or something like that

    ive been thinking about making a soda can mod, or something similar, but i dont know how to make the textures and Jbeam for it.
