Mods don't load properly

So, I downloaded car-mods from the showroom. When putting the zip-files into "my Documents/beamng.drive/mods" they won't show up in the vehicle selector.
So I took a look at the cars, which are included in the game and saw that zips have the following structure:
vehicles/vahicleName/
But the downloaded zips have the following structure:
vehicleName/

So, I added a vihicle folder to create the "right" structure. Now when starting the game, the cars show up in the selection dialoge, but when loaded they show up rather strange:

Does somebody know what I did wrong?

What I already trired to solve the problem:
- Redownloading the mod
- Clearing cache
- Reinstalling game

System:
- Win8.1 x64

 

those are old mods so they dont work no more because of changes to the way the game is set up try not to download mods more than 8-9 months old try to structure like this
