I'm trying to download mods but the instructions on how to do it are outdated or something because i'm getting completely different results. When I click on Add Mods it just opens my browser and brings me to the site, every time. I've made the account and now when I try to add mods it does nothing. I don't know what i'm doing wrong, please help.

when you click add mods, and it takes you to the site, click the link to the mod you want to download, in this example, the bitron b2.

then, once on the mod's page, press the green "install button. it should automatically download and install it. Screenshot323.png

Just find a mod you want and hit the install button.

EDIT: Ninja'd by a far superior post.

I'm using orange button to download mod to temp folder and then just dragging and dropping zip to mods folder in my Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods

I think that green button works with enough loose security settings and when your main browser is setup with loose security (means typical way), however all links open in my secure browser which don't do scripts at all, to avoid malware etc. issues, so green button method is not for me, that method might be quite prone to issues with amount of different browsers and setups around?

    - Download straight to folder "Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods\".
    - Restart BeamNG.
    - Have fun.

You can also make sub-directories in your Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods folder. Which makes it easier to organize if you have a lot of mods.
    For example:
    Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods\vehicles\
    Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods\levels\
    Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods\props\

Don't even need to, beamng automatically detects the mod and reloads.

That seems to not happen to me, even when modding, I have to replace zip and restart BeamNG, if I try to reload it just freezes or something other weird things happen, so I use very slow method of repacking, replacing, restarting, after every change I make to mod.

Haven't bothered to look into what I do wrong as that method works too.

Strange, it does it perfectly fine for me. Do you download to downloads and copy to mods, or download directly to mods?

That should not make any difference, but I download to my sandbox, where I check that file is ok to put into mods. I'm only little paranoid :)
