Yeah you read that right, a monster covet! I did this last night in a few hours, this is my first mod that i chose to release so please don't judge the quality as it was used mainly for practice. It still needs a bit of work but i hope to share it with you very soon. Update Other than the obvious body swap i also made the engine more powerful and added a 3rd gear on the original transmission. Planned in next update Finish the roll cage inside the car Proper jbeam custom engine 5 speed manual transmission Credits: BeamNG for the covet @SealedGecko and @FLyInG 2 YoUr SoUL for the CRD monster truck's frame (http://www.beamng.com/threads/crd-monster-truck.24742) @crashmaster for helping me whenever i got stuck
Looks good, however if you haven't already I'd advise to use the EdgeSplit modifier in Blender to fix the smoothing groups. http://www.beamng.com/threads/how-to-correctly-import-export-official-vehicles-via-blender.14793/
i scaled the frame down to fit the covet instead, so the covet is still it's original size unfortunately. But i like your idea @enjoyinorc6742 , i might do that instead since it would make it easier to fit other cars on the same frame (maybe pigeon...?) i'll have to see what i can do, i also have a beta coming soon (probably tomorrow) EDIT: I redid it the way you suggested, thanks
You could try and chop the covet just behind the door so it is extended a bit and fits the chassis more, well as much as a hatchback can fit a monster truck chassis
UPDATE: I changed plans and decided to make the covet bigger to fit on the frame, the "truck" is now in game and i have a few issues left to take care of View attachment 220193
not working cuz hes new and they changed something on the website which restricts some of the content posted by newer members to prevent spam. Its pretty annoying.
only thing left is jbeam, i'll work on that slowly over time but i have a beta that i will be uploading tomorrow
