Been working on this map off and on for a week or so. It originally had a snow texture at higher altitudes but as soon as I started adding foliage it looked silly as there are no "winter" foliage. I'd say it's about 10% done, Just wanted to upload a WIP version to get feedback so far.

    Sept 16 - Updated to Version 0.2.0
    Sept 12 - Updated to Version 0.1.6

    Current Features:
    - Asphalt and Off-road areas (Offroad 4x4 highly recommended and necessary to make it up steep grades on smaller road)
    - Lakeside drives
    - Huge Bridge
    - Great crashes, specially in the off-road section

    Planned:
    - Small lakeside town
    - More off-road and rock climbing sections
    - More "attractions" and "clutter" to make it feel more alive.
    - Mud!
    -Guard rails on highways

    Issues:
    - Possible texture issues. Please report if you find any, with a screenshot if possible. Spent 4 hours today battling textures. Installed on a clean install and had no issues so hopefully I fixed them.
    - Bit of an FPS hog at the moment due to foliage. Will thin this out to provide a better frame rate.

Haven't played it yet, but I'm getting RoR nostalgia from just looking at it. Can't wait to see the finished product!

    Re: Mountain Roads

Not sure if related to this or not, but i have ultimate tests installed with no issues on latest update.

This map however seems to create a "failed to create resource" error when loading this or any other map. Only way I have been able to fix it was delete this map folder from the levels folder.

    Any one else?

This has happened with another map I downloaded as well, but not with ultimate tests terrain...

Hmm. Yeah, can anyone else confirm they're getting this error? I tried to test beforehand by placing the folder in a clean install and it worked for me.

I'm getting the same error as everyone else. Did you make sure to check all the saved file locations before uploading?

I'm asking because this happened on several other maps during the initial release.

EDIT: It's only something to do with a few of the tree/Utah rock files, everything else loads properly.

Bummer, must have missed something. I'll try and upload a fixed copy tomorrow. Download link removed for now.

Wait wait wait, you can put it back, it isn't anything major. Some of the trees/rocks aren't loading correctly, that's all.

Oh, I thought the level wasn't loading at all. If it's causing issues with other map's though i'll try and find this dang Douglas fir reference and remove it.

Edit: Put a temporary download up without the foliage as I couldn't for the life of me find where it was referencing the Douglas fir.

The error still shows up without the foilage ....

    Re: Mountain Roads

Side-effect of the new update. I think they made some changes to how the map file system works, so sometimes the objects don't load correctly.

At least, that's my theory, I don't really know why it does that

Yeah, my opinion is definitely the update...

should this be considered a bug of the new update?

    Re: Mountain Roads (Version 0.1.6)

Okay I uploaded a new version. Please delete any previous version before installing. Spent 4 bloody hours today battling textures, and I think I have everything working now (until the next update breaks something :S). Tested on a clean install and had no issues with textures or failed to create resource.

    Edit: Added Sample Video

You should really use a scattersky resource instead of a basic sun, it will make the lighting in your map look 300% better.

Didn't even know that was a thing, thanks for the tip.

Edit: Wow thanks, you weren't kidding with the 300% better.

Updated post with new version and new pictures. Due to GTA V coming out tomorrow and an upcoming wedding, I probably won't be working on this map too much in the next couple weeks. However, i'm far from finished.

hey umm is there another download location.. like eg: mediafire ... because this mega site is messing with my computer and starts my screen flashing like a strobe, then wont download. tried to work my way around the issue, hit dead ends all around which sucks cause this map looks so awesome.. just wondering if there is an alternate route?

Weird. Never heard of that before. Uploaded to mediafire as you asked. I've tried attaching it here as well but the site doesn't seem to like .rar files or something.
