Can we have some mouse steering please? Its more precise and im tired of just tapping the key to end up with poor precision. Just make it activated by clicking and holding the mouse scroll. I also tried to implement it using Vjoy but beamng doesn't detect the mouse move it only updates the control each 10 second.
There are a couple others who have made threads asking for this, but generally, there aren't enough to make the developers see it as a priority right now. It should definitely get implemented at some point, since it probably won't take that long to implement. In the meantime, I'd recommend just using an Xbox 360 controller or some other fairly inexpensive controller that's compatible with BeamNG. With that, you would be able to steer even more precisely than with a mouse.
Nevermind, when i had tried vjoy it was before the update that fixed the laggy UI. For those whoe want mouse steering use Vjoy + Freepie. Use this script in freepie -> http://pastebin.com/3w5G9PDC
Eh, but thats the point of mouse steering. its for the lazy masses or those who want to save some money. Anyway setting mouse steering in beamng is somewhat hard if you don't know a lot about that stuff so im just gonna go ahead and make a video tutorial fro the other who might want to setup that.
Hello and welcome to the forum! Before posting, please check the last post date, to see if it's worthy reviving a very old thread or create a new thread Setting up mouse steering is pretty simple. First go to Options > Controls and find the 'Steering Axis' binding and click on the plus sign: Simply move the mouse and wait for the game to catch it: And when done, press 'Apply' to save the new binding.
In BeamNG.Drive. For other games, it depends on how much customization they allow you to do. And yes, you can also assign brake/throttle to the mouse clicks. The game gives you lot of flexibility on the bindings.
