just had this idea! Script AI has just been released and allows for recording of vehicle path to be followed later. This leads to other ideas, if we somehow make the script recording live (online instant update) so another player (on a separate computer anywhere in the world ) on the same map can receive your script AI via instant updates (since the file being generated will be relativity small) and drive with you! The other car will be AI and follow the updating recording from the other player! in essence it would be sort of multiplayer!! Of course the car being used to follow the updating path would have to be identical to the one used to create the script so it can follow it exactly. First hurdle, how to make the script update online instantly!
hopes and dreams dashed This is good news! It sounds like multiplayer isn't completely out of the picture, keeping ideas going will could result in a breakthrough! Also does the script AI save or is it discarded after a new recording or new map? like can I go to file and view the code it saves?
I feel like their best bet for multiplayer would be to do it like it was in RoR, where the players had collisions with terrain etc., like usually, but could not collide with themselves... But that would probably cause an uproar from most people on here, who all they do is to crash vehicles
