Solved Multiple keyboard.json (vehicle specific bindings)

    Is there a way to add multiple keyboard.json files for one vehicle? My pigeon mod pack and mike94's 4 wheeled pigeon both have one. They appear to overwrite each other. Just like you can name your input_actions.json, is there a similar way of naming inputmaps? Or how should I proceed?

    There is not, unfortunately. It has been planned for about 2 years now, but still haven't been able to find time for it.

    So what now? Do I tell the user to manually bind the keys?

    Also it'd be cool if the vehicle specific bindings showed up on screen only if the part(s) that use it had been loaded. Just a suggestion.

    For now, yes.

    This has been debated internally several times, it is too complex to implement at the moment and will not be happening in the foreseeable future.

    Any possibility to get a "fix" for this in the next update? I hope you guys haven't forgot about this.

    It's still a very low priority issue compared to all the rest of pending stuff to implement/fix, so it's still not planned to happen in the foreseeable future.
