    Hey guys and gals,

First off I'm completely hooked on BeamNG.Drive. Bought it in Feb during my industries "slow season" and clocked 53 hours in the first week before pulling out of my steam directory. It falls perfectly in line with my love of cars and the engineering behind them. I planned on becoming an Automotive Engineer but quickly found out i really, really hate the physical act of working on them. I've been thinking on what i could do to give back to the awesome community and this popped into my head while talking with someone about which rentals are the best overall for each category.

I work as a Fiber Optics Field Tech with a company that holds contracts spanning probably 75% of the eastern side of the U.S. and hold contracts in Texas, Cali, Illinois and Missouri. So i travel A LOT and that means rental cars, and A Lot of driving from site to site (I'd say an average of 800-1400 miles a week) off the top of my head i have had in the last 2 years close to 50 or 60 rentals and i routinely spent 8-10 hours a day driving, working, eating lunch, ect in them.

So i was thinking i could start jotting down notes on stuff about cars that you really learn unless you spend a week basically living out of the thing (I.E. the 2014 Nissan frontier has a shallow tray along the shifter in the automatic that is the perfect size to hold a McDonalds chicken nuggets sauce cup lol) taking pics of the interiors, engine bay and trunk spaces or whatever, start a running thread and just update it every weekend or so. Yes there a lot of car reviews out there but that is just the meat of what i was thinking, more specifically if someone is creating a car and cant find a good pic of, lets say, the underside view of the steering column in the '15 mustang. They could post in the thread or message me with the request, if its not a car i or one of my crew has i could easily snap a few of it from a rental place at the airports I'll be traveling through. If there is any interest i could invest in a decent portable audio recorder and grabbing engine sounds as well. Being on the top tier of almost every rental agency's rewards programs makes me like rental car royalty pretty much lol

Long story short, Random running thread of cars i happen to have that week, and helping out with photos, engine audio recording, measurements if it can be done without taking the car apart. I'd some feedback and suggestions to see if it would be beneficial or not and possibly get this ball rolling, oh and my current vehicle is a 2015 mustang convertible so i suppose i would start there.

Could be a good idea, you might get hold of a car that somebody wants some info about on here :)

Cool that you worked on Fibre Optics, I also worked with Fibre Optics for a while too, laying it in the city for a company contracted by the gov. Repetitive but alright :)
