Hey there! Here are some of my crash and stunt compilations, they are actually pretty funny My first one: My second one: My third one: And my third one: I hope you subscribe to my channel for more or just like the video! thanks
I do! The video doesnt come out like that, I added clips and trimmed em and all that, but if you mean I should do it better, then thanks for the criticism. Also thanks for watching them!
Use F8 free camera and slowmotion using in-game controls... This is gameplay clips without the hud at best. No music? Really? Non at all? Okay so the 2nd vid has music... part way in? Why the inconsistency and not to mention poor music choice as nothing will fit this without good cinematography.
Ok look, I am...lets say financially limited, I have to go to school, I just am not as skilled as Kryton or Whybeare or insanegaz, but I still try, also, I dont really know how to make them look as good as I would like, and I like them. I know the music choice isnt that great, but I dont like that pop music that others use, and I havent made making videos my full time job, as academics come first. So, you couldve said at least something good about them, not just "constructive critisicm"
Since Im on my phone right now and I don't have much time I'll just make it short. All of them are bad and/or puke worthy IMO. In the first one you didn't even run the game in fullscreen and you didn't turn of the game sound. Also, why did you think classic music would be the best choice?
Thank you! Someone actually said what I could do better instead of saying they suck. Thanks - - - Updated - - - - - - Updated - - - If you think they are bad then tell me what I can do better - - - Updated - - - Instead of saying how s*** they are you could give me advice on how to make them better, and I like classical music in general, I make these because they are fun for me.
These montages are pretty good, especially since you're just starting. A few recommendations: 1. Don't have in-game sound, or at least turn it way down so it doesn't compete with the music. 2. Make your vids in free camera (hit f8) 3. Don't have crashes that have tons of particles and smoke blocking everything. Check out this video by WhyBeAre for more tips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTeGgea7aAE Also, I rather liked the music. It's kinda ironic to have peaceful music while you destroy cars.
Awesome! Thanks for the tips! And Im glad you liked the music1 - - - Updated - - - awesome! thanks again
Despite what the others are saying, only bother with all sorts of fancy editing and music and cinematography if you intend to get views and subscribers. If you just make these videos to show to friends or this forum or just for yourself just keep going. This doesn't need to be a theatrical production. @supernoob, dalek You guys are very harsh, perhaps he made these for fun. It's not like you're paying for them, nor are you in any place to expect high quality content considering you don't make montage videos yourself. Just... think about how others feel, yes?
Haha thanks! I do make these for fun but also to get views, Thanks for understanding how F****** mean those guys are and for making me feel better about it. Thanks again
That's exactly what constructive criticism is, which you were complaining about. That action is not exactly conducive to approval.
Constructive criticism is not conducive of extreme negativity, to quote SuperNoob05: "All of them are bad and/or puke worthy IMO." this is not constructive, it's just totally negative and hateful. To quote FeinStein: "These montages are pretty good, especially since you're just starting. A few recommendations: ..." this is contructive. It's not sugarcoated or lying, it's a set of recommendations presented in a way that is not intended to offend. It's not necessarily about the nature of the suggestions, but the way they are presented. Just like I said, it's about thinking how others feel.
Okay, look I make my own montages/ whatever the crap people call them too.. I am in HighSchool I don't have a job, but you can still make them have proper edits without a decent budget.. I however bought Dxtory [$40 ish Candaian] and CyberLink PowerDirector 12 a few years ago for $40 on sale. that isn't even the price of two games.. so calm down about money... and I just made them as one off videos for now. And it is criticism, change everything I've said and they will be good videos... didn't know it was hard to use free cam in-game vs chase cam? Does that cost money these days? Video production is really overpriced than, Back in my day we could press F8 for free. - - - Updated - - - Constructive Criticism is... V Below V Info that as a creator you can use to improve your videos it's not...V below V [It can be presented in anyway as long as it is useful information and doesn't outright offend the creator intentionally] "No music, get out of making videos" or "you suck, I am out" Also you can use MSI-Afterburner to record decent footage that is just as good as DXtory... and you can use MovieMaker or whatever softwares you used, to cut the clips... All this is Free. All you need to do is use free-cam in-game for your recordings and add proper music.. bam, montage.
The specific thing he was complaining about was, in fact, constructive criticism. The fact they are negative and hateful is irrelevant. Criticism should not care about the feelings of its victim, that completely counters its point. The actions to be taken based on the quoted points are quite clear. That definitely is a sugarcoated lie, or this {{{{{FeinStein}}}}} character has no taste in shitty crash compilations. And again, it doesn't matter whether criticism, constructive or not, is mean, or causes offense. That's literally the entire point of it. Especially here, in the highly subjective realm of shitty crash compilations, where there is very rarely a positive to praise.
Wow. This actually is the funniest comment I've seen in a long time. There's brainless criticism, and there's constructive criticism. Then there are the subcategories of cruel constructive criticism and kind constructive criticism. I used the latter. If I disparage bustercat101's first crash montages and act like he has absolutely no chance of improving in an eternity, then is that helpful? Or should I tell him the things that he could change to make them better? And also, his montages weren't terrible; I've seen plenty that there were much, much worse. I have yet to see you make a montage, much less, a good one.
My first video in beamng- Almost no experience in editing and making videos and after watching no tutorials and I can still make a pretty decent video from just watching what experienced people do. Sure it is not perfect, but I work hard on it and take a lot of time to edit and make sure it is absolutely the best I can make it to be. (Also im not rich and I used fraps and windows movie maker..)
