My First BeamNG Drift Village Map Sand Drift Valley

    Hello Boys, and Girls

    Im Always wont to Make my own Drift Course Map . And now this the first try . pls keep in Mind i just started 4 days ago i have no clue how to make roads or spawn assets until Now


    Im Complete new To the Editor and i have to learn everything from zero .

    This Map is Copyed from Desert Valley , i Delete Everything from the Original map and Create my First Drift Spot , its a small Village with Assets from the Italy Map .

    i love the Result and i wonna share this with you guys ., this map is just the Beginning of my Map Creation Carrere. i mean i hope it is .

    feel free to Download and share the map . i realy like to hear your feedback .
    the map is not Finished but the drift town is complete and i will build more towns like this one here

    Extract the Desert Base Folder with the map in it to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\BeamNG.drive\0.33\mods\unpacked


    MAP DOWNLOAD LINK: Sand_Drift_Valley. in the Zip file is the first Folder Called DesertBase and the next is Level and inside this is the Sand_Drift_Valley . when u search the map mod look for DesertBase and Activate it , than go to Freeroam click on Show Debug and u will see the map .

    Hello friend,. yeah its mostly emty , becouse i just started with the map . for now u just have this one Village . i will add more and i work every day . the map looks now diffarent . i add more stuff . and of course i will every week post an map update here . so u just can come back in a few dayz and download the newer version . i have to correct little bit the decals on the roads now . to look better . i dont know why but the map is extrem cool to drive with a Bus , if u not try i recomad you to try it out once haha its soo fun to drive gg .

    Hello again, when i say empty it's there is no village, just the terrain, it's probably the wrong file that you posted, =D I will take these turns with a bus when you post an update

    Don't worry, it's your first map, your first post, it's OK
    But I'm sorry it still doesn't work
    Have you put the file which is in 0.33/levels ?

    Yes It works now.
    When you make changes to a map in the level editor, they will go directly to 0.33/levels.
    And when you're ready to post an update here I advise you to put the file of your map 0.33/levels in the base folder of your map which is in "unpacked" and then put it all in a file .zip
    Beamng reads this kind of file more easily

    And as far as the work you did is concerned, it's great really great, the road path is very very good.
    There is just one small problem, the asphalt road does not make any noise.

    Don't stop there, I really want to see what you have in store for us ;D

    Yes, now I understand it. Thank you for pointing out to me that I should simply pack the map into a 7zip file? And yes, I haven't built any sounds or lights yet. I also have to set up the AI paths. etc. It's just a lot of work, as I said, I'm still a beginner when it comes to the editor. But I will definitely continue to work on creating more roads like this on this map, I'm also thinking about a rally section. Let's see . and thank you very much, I really appreciate that you helped me. Thanks !!

    This is great for a first map! I like it :)

    However, I would suggest you pack it into a .zip-file, not 7zip. Moreover, the zip should go in the directory Users\User\AppData\Local\BeamNG.drive\0.33\mods like all other mods, as the \content\levels folder is for official content.

    It's nice to see that there are people who appreciate this work, I like your pictures and they give me the idea of incorporating something more off-road. !!! I must have misunderstood again about the zip and then copying it to the right folder, gg, you mean 7zip isn't as good as Winzip? yes, I can do it like that. and thank you very much for the tip. I'm learning more and more. Thank you. !! and I really appreciate that!!!
