Re: My perscription eyeglases collection. Wearing the incorrect glasses can damage vision. If you want to wear them as a fashion accessory, go to the opticians, they are often happy to help obtain false lenses to fit X, Y or Z frame, or obtain your correct prescription for that frame. You get a nice looking set of eyeglasses and can see properly without ruining your own eyes.
Re: My perscription eyeglases collection. Kinda same for me, I wore glasses from when I was like ~6 years old until 2 years ago, but now my eyes are just being perfectly fine.
I'm waiting for enchroma glasses to be available in the UK, being colour blind makes life difficult. I'm also rather short sighted, but that's not as important..
Theres coke-bottle lenses...and then theres these: Viewing-ports-on-the-gun-deck-of-the-USS-Montana lenses. Those must weigh a ton
i wear glasses since i was very young, when i was born i had to have lazer eye surgery otherwise i woulda been blind ive had my current pair of glasses for around a year and a half now, they are blue. i can see without glasses its just i cant really see out my right eye cause i got a lazy eye or somthing like that.
The scratch resistant coating on modern glasses was actually invented by NASA. Now if NASA built my glasses... Note the strategically placed tape. Its entirely structural, not just for looks.
Your glasses look way way too weak. They look like they need to be much stronger. You really should get new glasses with half inch thick lenses like mine. Go to here to order some -20 diopter glasses for yourself. http://www.zennioptical.com/ You deserve it!
I would, but i cant even afford to replace these, let alone get a pair with 30 pounds of plastic in them
Buy the 6.95 dollar frames and use the free lenses. The 1.56 index lenses are free. Buy them in a -5 diopter power. You should not have to play 9 dollars extra for processing the stronger lenses. http://www.zennioptical.com/u6.95-glasses
Actually, thank you for that link. I found frames on here that are exactly the same as the frames im wearing so i can just put the lenses into a structurally sound frame
I honestly have no idea. I was never told what the prescription was, the optometrist just told me that im near sighted, and i havnt seen him for 5 years.
Just randomly wearing the wrong diopter will damage your eyes further. Its like a form of self harm you wear on your face. Romosr, just get cheapest version of your frames and put your current lenses in them, your current lens is prescription matched for you, a -20 diopter will probably be the wrong prescription meaning you can't even see properly on them and will cause further damage to your own eyes, plus a tad of eye strain if worn for too long.
"Oh you appear to have really weak glasses like -1 dioptrin that may correct a little imperfection in your eyes" "Why not try freaking -20 dioptrin because why not have blurry vision and headaches?!?!! THEY'R CHEAP!" The more i read this thread the more i got weird feelings about it.
