My xbox controller is broken?

    Hi all, i have a little question, my new (first) xbox controller have the two analogs a little weird, when i move the analog to the right or left very slow it seems to come back out of place, like milimeters, so i opened the controller propietes and that happen:

    that is normal or my joy is damaged?, thanks for your time.

    Not totally sure what you mean but is the stick not centring 100% when you let go of it?

    Not centering properly is normal for most gamepads, xbox controllers are notoriously bad for it, that is actually why you have a deadzone set for controllers.

    so bad, my triggers are weird too, i need to press it almost 70% for a slow throttle, that is common too?

    f*uck, the ps3 or ps4 dualshock have the same issue?

    Ps3 and ps4 have it, albeit not as severely as the Xbox does (Xbox is just particularly bad at it, only shortcoming in the controller in my opinion, GameCube was even worse for it though). It does get worse with age on the Sony consoles, Xbox it doesn't seem to get much worse.

    Never experienced any issue with the triggers on mine though.


    Whenever you see dead zone settings in games, that is to account for the axis not returning to centre properly all the time.
