Are they easy to escape? I found the cops in the newer NFS games horribly bland and easy to escape from, while I did occasionally get busted in Carbon even after years of playing the pursuits. --- Post updated --- Jesus, these people are idiots.
I doesn't really matter. I probably won't buy it anyway, and if I do it won't be until they add cops to freeroam (if they do).
The cops are scripted so it is impossible to evade them until you complete the route where they suddenly brake and you lose them. While on that route, the cops are amazingly effective at blocking you in and slowing down your car.
Speaking of freeroam, everyone's begging for an online freeroam. That's one thing I REALLY want in game.
True. It especially sucks if there's no way to race on a bit of road with friends that doesn't have an 'official race event' there. The cops in Carbon were alittle rediculous sometimes to be fair though... Having 2 SUV's head on you at 250KM/h will probably do alittle more than just stop the driver. Also, those Pontiac GTO's. How do they have soooo much weight behind them?! They can happily push a dump truck all over the road as if it weighed nothing
It's a bit arcadey, sure, but sometimes that's fun. Earlier today I loaded up Carbon for the first time in over a year and did a 37 minute pursuit which involved over 200 corvettes, 140 of which I destroyed.
Anyone enjoying this game? I've made up my mind that I'm not getting it (Getting nfs:mw2005 instead), but I want to hear about it.
I heard that too. I'm mostly avoiding it because of no freeroam cops. Fun pursuits are the reason I've played through Carbon 4 times and haven't even finished nfs2015 once. Now, Carbon cops certainly aren't flawless, and I often get busted for being too cocky with them (Earlier I was waiting under a pursuit breaker to lure a bunch of them into it, but I got stuck under it and couldn't move), but I will always go back and play with the cops again because I love seeing all the ways I can crash them.
