Hey Guys I got a quick question.I just got a new controller and I was trying to configure the controls in the game and i'm using the triggers as throttle and brake, and it says that they are an axis but also the joysticks are axises so when i move the left trigger it acts as throttle and if i move the right one it works as brake, so is there any way to counter act this from happening.Thanks.

What controller is that? (Exact model).
You mean that your triggers and the thumbsticks are seeing as same axis?

It is an nvidia shield. The new 2017 model, and yeah that’s the major problem I’m running into. I have all the other key bindings set with no issues.

Are you playing via Steam 'Big Picture' mode?

Can you go to Options > Controls > Hardware (in-game) and take a screenshot?

No I don't play in big picture mode but I tried it and it made no difference, but here is my control scheme.

Please do exactly as I say, so that we can help you.

Can you go to Options > Controls > Hardware (in-game) and take a screenshot?
(In the screenshot above, you are not in the 'hardware' panel)

    Also please answer this:
You mean that your triggers and the thumbsticks are seeing as same axis?

Oh sorry about that, and yes the triggers and the thumbsticks are seeing the same axis.

    Uhm, that's really odd.
The controller is connected via USB cable right?
Do you have the GeForce Experience software up and running? (Seems required for the controller)
Are you sure you do not have any kind of software/device that could be conflicting with your controller and making it act weird?

    Do this:
Open the Control Panel > Hardware and sound > Devices and printer > You should see the controller > Right-click on it > The first button (something about game controller settings) > Properties > Check if the same is happening there.

That way we can see if the problem is coming from the system itself identifying the controller the wrong way, or not.

Yes that is the problem if I move the left joystick it moves the x axis which is also in line with the acceleration and if I move the right one it moves the z axis which is right above brake but it doesn’t bring the brake meter up in settings it just move the z axis

Also no I am connecting the controller via Bluetooth

Can you try connecting it with an USB cable instead?
I think this is a problem of the controller not being recognized properly.

And, do you have the GeForce Experience software installed and running?
It seems necessary for that controller.

The problem is that I don't have an Nvidia gpu so I cannot download the GeForce Experience Software.
