Tommorow i am getting a new phone. I want a phone with a strong screen because my last phone shattered from a 1 foot drop. I would like an Iphone but i have heard that iphone screens are weak. Is there an iphone with a strong screen? If not, any other suggestions?
I've owned a couple of iPhones over the past several years. I always have good cases and I haven't had a single problem with any of them breaking. Everyone I know who had a problem with them did not have a case. I hate the more recent IOS versions and Apples way of business, but a lot of people like IOS and can ignore Apple's business strategies.
Doesn't Samsung make the screen for the iPhone 7 anyway? I have a couple friends with Samsung phones. For the most part they all either love it or hate it, no inbetween.
Huawei. The P series and the Mate series is cheaper than iPhones and Androids but it's great to use. I have a P9 Lite. It's not the greatest phone nor it's the latest, but it's still works well and it's performance isn't bad compared to some more powerful ones. It's battery is long-lasting too. The only downsides I found so far is just the crappy mobile data connection, the slow charging speed, and 16 GB of storage is too tiny these days. (which can be compensated by installing extra space with microSD cards) --- Post updated --- Also I have dropped my P9 lite before and it didn't hurt that much. The screen is still perfect.
My friend threw my iPhone 4(The worst iPhone for screen shattering) at the ground. The screen didn't shatter. iPhones are fine.
Wow. I had a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 before and I dropped it from my desk. Surprisingly, it's still perfect.
The weak point of the iPhone's screens is the corners. Hitting them on any corner is basically how you need to do it if you're actively trying to break the screen and don't have a sledge hammer or something like that. My first iPhone was a 4S. That thing took some major abuse and it wasn't until it was many years old that I had an issu. I threw it on the ground as hard as I could, it hit on a corner. The corner of the screen where it hit doesn't work and there's a vertical purple line on it. Didn't crack though. Also, older iPhones (as in a few years old, not older models) have a tendency to have buttons stop working because there is a rubber piece that comes loose. Just repositioning the rubber is enough to fix it and it only happens after a couple of years, but it's really annoying. I've had it happen on my 4S volume button and the lock button of the 5 I use as an iPod, haven't had it with my 5S I use as a phone but that's only two years old, much newer than the 2 aforementioned phones.
iPhone SE + Otterbox commuter. My SE is in brand new condition after a year of drops and abuse. Too bad I can't say the same for the Commuter...
